Just wanted you all to know that Ted is checked in and resting comfortably. He got to the room around 3:30 and we had an orientation of the floor. The nurses could not be nicer. They had a snack ready for him, and then he ate a good dinner at 6:00. He said the food was great. The doctor did the line placement around 7:30 and everything went perfectly. The doctor knows TJ and Lori from when they worked at Baylor, so that added a nice personal touch.
The best way to reach Ted would be to text him on his cell phone. The phone in his room isn't working yet, because he is in a temporary room for now. They said they would probably move him to a different room in a few days, but he is enjoying getting text messages for now.
They are starting the chemo tomorrow, so I will keep you posted. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

Ted and Tina,
You have been on my mind constantly these past two days. When I think of you, I pray for you. I pray that all the procedures go perfectly and that the side effects are minimal.
And Ted, I pray that you don't get bored sitting around because I know that is just not in your DNA. But maybe after Wednesday, that will change. Hans might me a really laid back guy.
At the mall, there is a kiosk that has the Rosetta Stone software to teach yourself German. Maybe you should check it out in your spare time.
Holen Sie sich auch bald!
That is a cute pic of you guys! Well, I guess this starts the first day of "Ted's Big Adventure"! Remember Ted, a little bit of prayer,a little bit of laughter and whole lot of love is all you need to get through this. And from the looks of this blog, you'll get plenty of that!
Baylor's food was good? Really? Are you sure the chemo didn't affect tastebuds???? hee hee
Lolly (you crack me up!)......Ted needs to take babysteps learning German. The Rosetta Stone software may be too stressful. Do they have anything at the mall that just teaches you the "bad" words? That might come in handy on some days with Ted!!!! hee hee
Hey you two are so funny!
I don't want Ted to learn German if he is going to make that sound they make that is like something is stuck in your throat like a luggy or luggie (sp?) That grosses me out.
But Lori the "bad" words might be a good with all the little ears that we have now!!
