All things considered, I am feeling pretty good today. I didn't exactly get the boost I was hoping for with the blood transfusion. I was only able to run 5 miles instead of the 10 I wanted to run. (not!) I must have gotten the blood of a lazy man that stands in line at the Carter Blood Bank and sells it for wine money. (Ted)
That's what Ted asked me post ... so there it is. As you can see, he's a little disappointed in the outcome after spending 5 hours on Monday night getting red blood cells and platelets, only to end up now with an upset stomach to go with the fatigue. Ughh! His next appointment is Friday to give blood again and check the numbers. (Tina)

I know what the problem is. The answer is at the end of the post. You are giving out more blood than they are giving you. Remember the 20+ tubes you gave a couple of weeks ago? When they take out half the blood in your body, 2 units isn't going to fill you back up. Like you said, they are just trying to see if you are crazy. I would have to put my vote in for yes, if you let them do that again on Friday.

Bummer that Ted got Matt's blood (LOL at you Missy)...we'll keep praying. And if you're gonna run 10 miles - you'd better ask for Missy's blood next time!! haha
Ted, you missed your calling - comedian. Love that dry humor. Hey, have you considered that the blood you are getting may have come from a woman taking hormones!!If you start swinging your hips and striking a "girly pose"... well, what can I say!?
I love, love, love that you got to see the grandbabies and your kids on DVD. They had to be so cute and no doubt brought a smile to your faces.

O.K. Ted, you have motivated me to go back and give platelets. Then you will be running around with a vaccuum, dishtowel, clothes in your arms, and free to mow the yard by 8:00 a.m. I, too, am getting addicted to the "blog."
